Congress is about to embark on the dreaded budget fight, and Head Start is stuck in the middle. The House of Representatives is proposing flat funding for Head Start which amounts to a cut (thanks, inflation). The Senate proposed a modest $85 million budget increase for Head Start to address some of the rising costs. Mother Forward is demanding that the House meet the Senate’s proposal, and it’s “all hands on deck”! Can you mail a handprint to key legislators? It Takes a Village: Mom Swaps! | Moms supporting moms- give what you have and take what you need

Raising kids is expensive, and it’s getting even more expensive. It’s time for moms to come together and help each other out. Some of us have baby gear we don’t need anymore, and some of us are expecting babies and would love a stroller. Some of us have clothes in sizes that our kids don’t fit in anymore while some of us are looking for those exact sizes. So Mother Forward is hosting swaps all across the country to bring moms together and take care of each other! Look below to see if there’s one happening in your area.
